Training for the development sector

A developer's accounting follows its own rules: multi-year projects, land and financing costs, and a particular moment of revenue recognition. We teach how to do it correctly and with business sense.

Errors in the accounting of development projects can distort the result by the scale of an entire project — and correcting them years later is difficult and costly. Our training shows how to run a project in line with Polish National Accounting Standard No. 8 from the outset: what to capitalise, what to take to profit or loss, and when to recognise revenue, so that the financial statements are credible for the bank, the investor and the statutory auditor.

We train the boards of development companies, finance and accounting departments, and accounting offices serving developers — using examples from real projects.

Who teaches? Dr Jacek Kalinowski — the author of the draft of Polish National Accounting Standard No. 8, "Real estate development activity" (2012), and its update (2018), and of academic publications on the recognition and presentation of the costs of development activity.
We always tailor the programme to the client — to the sales model, the structure of the projects and the framework under which the company reports. Ask for a proposal.
